Tuz Lake or Salt Lake is the second largest lake in Turkey and important source for local salt market with its 1,666 km2 (643 sq mi) surface area and one of the biggest hypersaline lakes in the world. It is located in the Central Anatolia/Cappadocia Region, 191 km (119 mi) northeast of Goreme.
